General Learning Objectives
 
The learning objectives of the meeting as a whole are:
  • To update dermatologists on the current best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease
  • To enable the incorporation of such learning into their clinical practice
  • To encourage clinical research
  • To facilitate interactive discussion regarding best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of skin disease
  • To update dermatologists in “what’s new” in areas of dermatology identified through perceived needs as expressed by dermatologists.

Specific Learning Objectives:

To disseminate practical clinical tips acquired by established clinicians to improve the delivery of care to dermatology patients  

To review “what’s new” in hair loss and modern hair restoration

To highlight the best of the posters presented at the meeting
Friday June 24, 2011

To deliver a comprehensive summary of “what’s new” in dermatopathology and skin oncology

To present a practical overview of dermatologic therapeutics, comprising medical, surgical, laser and research-based modalities
Saturday June 25, 2011

To engage participants in “what’s new” in diseases of the oral and genital mucosae

To update dermatologists regarding new developments in pediatric dermatology, including pediatric connective tissue diseases, acne and anticoagulation

To review the implications of international medical politics for Canadian dermatology and present novel research conducted by Canadian dermatologists
