Professional Biography
After spending 7 years in general practice in rural Nova Scotia, I returned to study at the University of Toronto to complete my dermatology training in 1981. Since then, I have been on active staff in the Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University in a clinical and an academic environment. I practise general dermatology, seeing patients in my private office and also at the university hospital, where I am involved with a training program in my specialty.

I also teach undergraduate medical students at Dalhousie University. My work involves relating to family doctors, as I have participated in many continuing medical education programs.

Specialized Training or Interest
Research into new treatments for psoriasis, acne, and dermatitis, among other things. Special interest in psoriasis and skin cancer.
