Instructions for PDAs
Read the PDF online
The easiest way to access the Guidelines on your PDA is to read the PDF online.
- Click on the Guidelines icon (above).
- Use the built-in tools (in the toolbar near the top of the PDF window) to scroll through pages, zoom, and find keywords.
Saving the PDF to your PDA
If you wish to save the Guidelines on your PDA for future reference (when you may not have a live web connection), the simplest way to do this is to receive the PDF as an attachment.
- Either email the PDF file to yourself or send an email to info@scriptmedical.com and we will email you the file. When you receive the email and attachment, follow the steps below:
For the Blackberry:
- Open the email, go to the attachment, click the ball and go to "copy". This will save the attachment and allow you to open it in the future, even without a live web connection.
- Now open the attachment, click the ball again, and select "view text". This will enable the “find” function. (If the attachment is already in text mode then skip this step.)
- Hit the "f" key and the “find” (keyword search) tool will open. Type the desired word in the box and hit “enter” (or click the ball). The first instance of the keyword in the PDF will be highlighted. Hit the “f” key repeatedly to scroll through all instances of the keyword in the Guidelines.
For the iPhone:
- Open the email, tap the attachment. The PDF downloads to your iPhone (allowing you to open the file in the future, even without a live web connection) and then opens. Note that the “find” function may not work without loading additional iPhone Apps.
