| Dermatology training and certification in Canada |
Eight Canadian universities have dermatology programs accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). If you are interested in furthering your medical studies after receiving your Doctor of Medicine, the "objectives" link will provide you with an overview of the five-year specialty residency program and the "policies and procedures" link will give you an outline of the process leading to certification by the RCPSC. Physicians who have completed a dermatology training program outside Canada or the United States and wish to to become certified in Canada should contact the RCPSC directly to have their program credentials assessed. The "international" link provides a list of medical education systems currently recognized by the RCPSC and an email address for your inquiries. |
